Welcome Blog Hoppers!

For Friday October 28th!

                WELCOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi everybody! ((((((((hugs))))))))))) Su casa, mi casa. Did I say that right? Welcome to my blog! Please make yourself at home and have a seat on my couch. Enjoy some cyber cookies on the table and a hot cup of tea. It's a pleasure to have you visit this weekend on the Halloween blog hop. I'd love to have you join my blog and I will join yours as well.

Be sure to mention your favorite monster movie or book and your Halloween costume this year.

Okay! My favorite monster movie is Night of the Living Dead. And I'm dressing up as a mime for Halloween. I have a black outfit and a mime mask. I love being a mime but it's hard not to talk because I am a blabbermouth!

This is a great opportunity for authors to meet one another and unite. (like the pic above) Thank you for this fantastic idea!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So what's your favorite monster movie/book? What's your costume for Halloween? I can't wait to hear your answers! Again, thanks for stopping by!!!!!

Hello there... Fav book is It by Stephen King. Movie, hmm...that's a harder one. Anything with Demons scare me. For costume, I usually just use some leftover blood and make-up my kids leave around. =)

I love Halloween and the mime idea is awesome, I would fail at the not talking though, good thing its just Halloween. ;)

Hi Chrissy,
Thank you for visiting and joining my blog. I joined yours as well ;)
Halloween Bloghop what a great idea! When I was younger I used to dress up every year and I used to go to parties or organize them myself. In 2008 and 2009 I went to the Rocky Horror Picture Show and it was a riot. I really enjoyed it. Favorite monster movie, huh? Hmmm, maybe the original Dracula.
Happy Halloween!

Hi Chrissy, thanks for stopping by my blog! I guess my favourite monster book would be Frankenstein - though I wouldn't pick anything out of there to dress up as!

Hiya Chrissy!! Thanks for the cyber hug, cookies, and hot tea! And a big thanks for popping over to my blog! You're so sweet! Anyway, it's hard for me to choose my fave book, so I'm going to have to go for the movie option instead. Let's see...my favorite monster movie has to be Underworld. I love it!

I haven't decided what I'm going to do for Halloween yet, so I may end up just chilling at home and watching Halloween movies! I think it's neat that you're going to be a mime, but I think I'd have a problem with not talking as well! Haha!

Chrissy - Although I'm not an author... one of my dreams was to be one... maybe a poet specifically! Thank you for stopping by and introducing yourself.
Let's see... my favorite scary movie is The House of Usher. It was the first scary movie I ever saw. Watched it on a big screen in our HS auditorium during finals week. Scared the bejesus out of me and had nightmares for years of being buried alive.

I'll be on the road Halloween so no costume for me this year. I imagine I'll see quite a few though via drive thru windows.

Happy Halloween!

Hi Chrissy - Am following your blog now, and thanks for visiting over at my blog.

Lovely page you have, I love the blues and greens, they're calming colours.

Movie: Pitch Black;
Monster: God Emperor of Dune, the half man, half worm creature.

Costume: Lady in Black (hey, it's versatile)

Love the color spectrum of your blog--and that title image. Awesome. Imagineers unite!

I'm not such a fan of cyber cookies (especially the virus inducing ones) but I keep a full plate of cyber cheese at my blog. Name the variety.

Favorite monster movie: I have so many! This morning I'm feeling somewhat cheesy (but when am I not?) so I'm going to say House 2. I'm giggling just thinking about it. I love Little Monsters too. Book though... I couldn't possibly pick JUST one.

Costume: After prepping 4 other people's costumes I'm being lazy and--dum dum dum--also going as a mime! Pin-striped suit and white and black face paint.

Hi Chrissy! I'm visiting from Jeremy Bates' Halloween Hop and plan to stalk you everywhere—well, at least here and maybe Twitter and Facebook. Hope you'll be one of my stalkers. ;)

I'm also running a contest on my blog, but you probably saw that already because you were my first commenter!!: http://heidirubymiller.blogspot.com

Oh, my favorite monster movie is Alien, and I'm dressing as a galactic princess this Halloween—at least that's what the tag on the costume said….

Happy Halloween,
Heidi

Nice to meet you, Chrissy. Hops are a great way to connect with bloggers we haven't met before.

I am liking Douglas Clegg at the moment. My monster book is a child found in Neverland. This child takes "evil" to a whole new level. Also, another new favorite would be John Connolly's The Gates, where Satan attempts to takeover earth and bring The End of Days. Very good.

My monster movie ... Hmmm ... So many. I like classics a lot. I think I will mention Creature from The Black Lagoon and Them! since Chrissy has already mentioned Romero. Oh ... can't forget Jeepers Creepers, the original. Love that one too!

I feel like I'm missing out on something, since I don't have a favorite monster movie . . . LOL.

Thank you for coming by my blog! :)

Hey Chrissy,

Thanks for stopping by! Glad you liked the excerpt.

NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD is your fav film? I'm from Pittsburgh, so that's the hometown favorite film (followed closely by DAWN OF THE DEAD.)

I have to go with THE SHINING for all-time favorite horror novel. Not a monster, but still... Twins?

Hit me up on Twitter at @jasonjackmiller

Later.

Loved the Night of the Living Dead. it was my first horror movie. Scared the pants off of me.

Favorite costume? Hmmm. I do write for children so it would have to be Tigger. *wink*

Hi Chrissy Love your blog! And these cyber cookies are delicious. They're perfect chocolatey goodness without all the calories. My favorite scary movie is Halloween, I watch it every year and my fave scary book The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon by Stephen King. I absolutely shudder at the idea of getting lost in the woods and this story perfectly captured my biggest fear.

I am definitely following and looking forward to coming back.

Hi Chrissy!
I just have to also watch Night of the Living Dead. It isn't Halloween with out it. A marathon of the Walking Dead would also be fun! Thanks for stopping by my blog and have fun on the hop :)

Hi Chrissy- thank you so much for stopping by!

Lol the closest thing to a scary book i have read is the Harper connolly series by Charlaine Harris. Me & horrors don't mix :-/ lol.

Left a comment on my page under yours about Twitter/fb etc

Hi, Chrissy! My favorite ghost movie is "Ghost Story" even though it has Fred Astaire in it (surprisingly, no dancing). The ghost is played by the same woman who played the Borg Queen in one of those Star Trek movies (Alice Krige....?). The movie was creepy and I actually felt sorry for the ghost-she got seriously screwed over by Fred and his pals. Plus, there is gratuitous nudity (not of Fred, though-thank God).
I don't really have a favorite costume, though. I did wear a Green Hornet costume once. But, all the other boys made fun of me.

Al Penwasser said...

Oh, and, by the way, my first wife was a mime (no kidding).
We broke up because we never spoke (okay, that's a mime joke).

Love your blog, and that picture at the top is gorgeous! My favorite Halloween movie is The Nightmare Before Christmas. And this year I'll be dressing up as a devil, with little clip on horns and everything! Great to meet you!

Happy Halloween Hop, Chrissy - good to *meet* you ;)
I admit, I don't have a favorite horror film, but I do have a book pick; "The Uninvited" by William Johnstone. I just reviewed it at Paranormal Wastelands if you want to read about it:
http://paranormalwastelands.blogspot.com/2011/10/uninvited-reviewed-by-author-shelley.html
Although most people say, "No thanks" as soon as they see the cover ;)
And I don't have a great costume this year either, but my favorite costume was the year my boyfriend dressed up as a man dressed up like a woman to snag a seat on a lifeboat off the Titanic and I went as the drowned woman who’s seat he stole. Yeah, nobody got it.

Hi Chrissy. Thanks for stopping by and leaving all your info. I wouldn't have been able to find you any other way. Happy to meet you. I'm sorry to say Mimes get on my nerves..see I'm a talker too. And they look too much like clowns. I don't have a favorite spooky movie but the scarriest ever was the Exorcist...still is. I'm usually a vampire for halloween, sometimes I have horns. This year I'll be a vampire servant...bit on my neck to prove it. Have a great one! :)

Happy Halloween Hop, Chrissy!

I admire your choice in costumes. If I went as a mime, I would have to go as The Talking Mime!! "Cyber cookies" aren't as good as the real thing, but I'm enjoying them none-the-less! :)

Fav scary book: The Shining (still makes me shiver!)
Fav costume: a witch (what else?)
Fav horror film: The Fog (yikes :0)Although, "Night of the Living Dead" (the original) is a close second. Still terrifying!!

I’m here visiting from Jeremy Bates' blog hop, and I love your blog!

My favorite scary book is IT (scared the crap out of me as a kid), movie that horrified me most was Rob Zombie’s remake of Halloween, and I did not dress up this year, because I suck. One of my favorite costumes in the past was "Dead Baby Roller Blades."

Happy Halloween!
